Bio - Nanette "No No" Hagara

Sue Messenger Mike Skinner Sr and Nanette Hagara

Sue Jacobus Messenger, Mike Skinner Sr., and Nanette "No-No" Hagara at Aberdeen Kenpo Karate around 1981

Nanette "No-No" Hagara received her Black Belt in Shaolin Kenpo in 1981 under the tutelage of Maria Warwick and Assistant Instructor Mike Skinner Sr.
Nanette was a fierce competitor who possessed quite possibly the best nickname ever bestowed.

Nanette became known as "No No" for her propensity to be quite aggressive in sparring matches. She would get very into the moment and Sibok Maria Warwick would yell "No No!" The name stuck to the point that her family business became known as No-No's Tows as they ran Aberdeen Auto Wrecking for many years.

Nanette is no longer involved with Kenpo Karate, but as she is a part of the fabric that is woven into Shaolin Kenpo history in Washington State, this is her biography.
